Authors: Shell, Bobby

Department: Princeton School of Public and International Affairs
Certificate Program: Environmental Studies Program
Class Year: 2023
Abstract: Writing the senior thesis for Princeton University has been one of the most challenging moments in my life, and I doubt any feat will ever compare to what I’ve just accomplished with this work on California’s Compliance Offset Program. I have truly been blessed to have incredible support around me from my fellow peers, my professors, my advisor Professor Timothy D. Searchinger, my Father whom I love with all my heart, my Mother who I know would be proud for all that I have managed to accomplish thus far in life, and for my most dear and best friend in the whole world Francesca DiMare. And to all my other friends I also thank you for being there for me when I needed you most. I wish I had more chances to appreciate time with you all. The following pages were the best effort I could conjure up, and I hope that there is solace in that when the obstacles and barriers got larger and more difficult, I had people to help focus me and get me to the finish line. I appreciate you all.
