| Abstract: | This thesis attempts to articulate a Platonic theory of punishment. I analyze the moral psychologies given in the Protagoras and the Republic and derive theories of punishment from each. I conclude that any Platonic theory of punishment must be (1) offender-centric (2) focused on the disposition of the offender and (3) reformative. |
