Title: Searching for True Muonium at the CMS Detector

Abstract: We conducted a search for true muonium atoms appearing in the decay of $\eta$ mesons produced in proton-proton collisions at the LHC. The dimuon scouting data we analyzed corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of $90~{\rm fb^{-1}}$. We obtained a value of 1.8 $\times 10^{-8}$ for the experimental value of the upper bound of the branching ratio $BR(\eta \rightarrow TM\gamma)$.
