Abstract: | This thesis is a phenomenological study on Spirituality, Religion and Societal norms. I have interviewed 12 people in intuitive style about their personal spiritual journey, psychology, perception and involvement with Western Culture and Religion, and belief in mysticism and perception of the great mysteries of life. This culminates into a philosophical exercise theorizing on the human consciousness and its unity with the Universe. Human Consciousness being an emerging field of study. Consciousness is the state of being aware of one's surroundings, thoughts, feelings, and sensations. It is the subjective experience of being alive and having a sense of self. This inherently disciplinary and includes subjects such as quantum physics, cognition and metaphysics. |
