This paper presents the progress of data gathered through modeling and analysis of a motorcycle wheel. Data was used to verify the the theoretical framework for spoked rims in motorcycles and to analyze the specific design of the model sub assembly. A CAD rendering of the rear wheel for a Triumph Tiger Cub T-20 SH is created using Autodesk Fusion360. Simple components of the wheel are analyzed using the simulation features native to Fusion. The more complex wheel assembly is exported to CREO Parametric 7.0 for analysis under simulated vertical loads and applied torques. All loads and torques were chosen in accordance with vehicle weight and maximum torque output from the engine and include a factor of safety. Simulation results are compared to numerical calculations in accordance with the theoretical framework for spoke tension in wired rims. Lastly, additional refinements are recommended for improved model accuracy and analysis as well as recommendations for future research.en_US
