Abstract: | In this paper we describe a framework for approximating the inputs of a parameterized fragment shader to match a static target image or a target animation. We review some of methods from SciPy's Minimize module and compare their performance on shaders that have between 18 and 48 parameters, with randomly generated target images. We also look at possible improvements that could be implemented in the algorithm. |
