Abstract: Entanglement is one of the most fundamental properties of quantum mechanics, and is ubiquitous in quantum information, statistical mechanics, quantum field theory, condensed matter physics, and quantum gravity. In this paper we investigate entanglement dynamics in the Schwinger model, a commonly studied 1+1 dimensional model of confining gauge interactions. In doing so, we explore the applicability to the Schwinger model of a relatively new model of entanglement dynamics referred to as the entanglement membrane model.
