Abstract: An original electroacoustic song cycle for voices, chamber ensemble, and electronics. La Casa del Árbol tells the story of a young woman mourning the death of her elders, the distance between her past and future, and the loss of childhood innocence. Through a sequence of flashbacks to her childhood as well as her present reality, she finds peace in her journey away from home. This song cycle is intended for a concert stage that can transform into a theatrical/storytelling space.
