Class Year: 2013
Abstract: Work from last year was continued on the already-constructed 3D printer. First, many steps were taken to improve the reliability of the printer. Many parts were upgraded, fixed and replaced. Building on previous success printing PLA, the capability to print ABS was added. Various hardware and software issues had to be overcome to print ABS effectively. Prints were undertaken using an SD card. A script was written to improve the usability of the printer by making it easy to generate and print text.
