Abstract: | Dr. Stephen Lyon’s lab has demonstrated that electrons floating on superfluid helium may serve as scalable qubits for quantum computing. These quibits can be moved around and processed on CMOS fabricated CCD chips, a new batch of which is ready for testing [8] [9]. For my thesis, I worked on updating the group’s simulation code to better understand electron dynamics on these devices and tested a chip in the lab. |
