The authors elaborate on how the Government of Kerala effectively used the wide network of its women’s empowerment project – The Kudumbashree - to enhance livelihoods especially focusing on farming and livelihood activities. They argue that this gender sensitive approach helped reduce food insecurity and facilitated employment especially by increasing the women work participation rate.” |
