Department: Electrical Engineering
Class Year: 2014
Abstract: In recent years, modular self-reconfiguring robotics has become a major area of research because of its potential to produce affordable general purpose robotic systems. This project seeks to explore the capabilities of modular robots through the design and construction of a two-dimensional modular self-reconfiguring robotic system. At the conclusion of this project, we have completed two modules capable of finding and coupling with one another, then proceeding to search for additional modules.
