dc.description.abstractDiabetes mellitus type II is a chronic disease that could be considered to be an epidemic. The consequences of these disease includes kidney damage, amputations, and death. This thesis delves into the different factors which play a role in the development and the management of diabetes in patients in Tocoa, Colón, Honduras. This ethnography helps to encapsulate the realities of diabetic patients and the barriers they must cross for better health care.en_US
